Hintor is an interactive coding practice platform with a built-in AI tutor. You solve hands-on tasks and run your code right in the browser, and when you get stuck, Hintor guides you without handing over the answer.

You can start with Python for Developers, a hands-on track where you learn by solving real tasks. It suits students, career switchers, developers picking up Python, and anyone preparing for interviews or exams.

A free account lets you save your progress, earn XP and keep your learning profile. You also need to be signed in to use Ask Hintor and Explain Hintor. Without signing in, your progress is not saved.

Your code runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install. The first time you run code in a session, Python has to load first, so it can take a little longer than later runs. If it seems stuck, refresh the page and try again.

Run executes your code so you can experiment and see the output. Verify checks your solution against the task. Tasks in a lesson unlock in order, so complete a task to move on to the next one.

When you are signed in, completing tasks, lessons and units saves your progress and earns XP, and learning on consecutive days builds a streak. Your profile shows your progress and activity over time.

Personalized Practice appears between lessons and gives you questions based on your goal, covering what you learned in the earlier lessons. It is part of Hintor Pro and needs your Learning Personalization profile to be complete. If it is locked, check that your Pro plan is active, your profile is complete and you have finished the lessons before it.

At the end of each unit, Hintor Pro learners get a final assessment that focuses on the areas where you need the most practice, so you spend your time on what will help you most.

After you complete every task in a lesson, Pro learners can get feedback on their performance. Free accounts see an invitation to upgrade instead. Lesson Feedback is currently written in English.

Ask Hintor is the hint button inside a task. When you are stuck, it points you in the right direction while the solution stays yours. Giving the full answer is not what it is for, because you learn more by working it out. You need to be signed in to use it.

Highlight a line or phrase in a lesson and get it explained at your level, in your language. You need to be signed in to use it.

Ask Hintor and Explain Hintor can respond in 20 languages: English, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, French, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Russian, Italian, Polish, Vietnamese, Hindi, Thai, Dutch, Simplified Chinese, Filipino and Ukrainian. Choose yours in your profile preferences.

Lesson Feedback and Personalized Practice currently use English.

Free accounts get 3 Ask Hintor uses and 3 Explain Hintor uses per day, and the day resets at midnight UTC.

Hintor Pro includes up to 1,000 uses of each per month. The allowance resets on the first day of each calendar month (UTC), regardless of your subscription renewal date.

AI guidance can sometimes be imprecise, so treat it as a tutor's nudge rather than a final authority. If something looks off, let us know through the contact page.

You can start for free. The Free plan includes the free lessons and a daily allowance of Ask Hintor and Explain Hintor. Some lessons and the personalized features, such as practice and final assessments, are part of Hintor Pro.

Pro unlocks all lessons and interactive practice tasks, up to 1,000 uses per month of each of Ask Hintor and Explain Hintor, personalized feedback after lessons, Personalized Practice, and a final assessment at the end of each unit. Some personalized features have extra requirements, such as a complete learning profile or finishing the lessons before them.

Pro is available monthly or annually, with the annual plan working out cheaper per month. See the pricing page for the plans, and you will see the final price in your local currency at checkout, before you pay.

Payments are handled by Paddle, Hintor's Merchant of Record. The payment methods offered at checkout depend on your device and country and can include cards, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Hintor does not store your full card details.

Yes, Pro renews automatically at the interval you chose unless you cancel before the next renewal. Cancel any time from Subscription in your account menu. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.

Subscription purchases are generally final, with no partial or prorated refunds for unused time. Exceptions apply where the law requires it and for confirmed billing errors, such as a duplicate or incorrect charge. If you were charged by mistake, email us with enough detail to find the transaction.

Refresh the page, or sign out and back in. Make sure you are signed in to the same account you subscribed with, and check Subscription in your account menu to see your plan status. If it still looks wrong after a few minutes, contact us with the email you paid with.

Your account, profile, XP and progress stay. Pro-only lessons and features lock again until you renew.

A short profile where you tell Hintor about your background and goals, so your learning experience fits you. You can update it any time, and some Pro features need it to be complete.

You decide. Your profile can be set to public or private in Profile & privacy.

The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. In short: Hintor does not sell personal data.
